Job Description

Duties:

  • Inspect incoming textile products against approved specifications, samples, and quality standards

  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, colour variations, fabric faults, and workmanship concerns

  • Conduct quality checks on fabric, finished products, and related merchandise received from manufacturers

  • Approve or reject products based on established quality requirements

  • Record, report, and track quality defects and non-conformances

  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding product quality concerns

  • Manage supplier claims, returns, replacements, and corrective actions

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, checklists, and reporting systems

  • Establish departmental processes to improve consistency within the quality function

  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and documentation

  • Analyse recurring defects and supplier performance trends

  • Recommend corrective and preventative measures to address quality issues

  • Support warehouse, buying, and sales teams with quality-related queries

  • Take ownership of the quality department and contribute to its ongoing development

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance or control within the textile industry

  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and develop corrective actions

  • Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to process improvement

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with statistical analysis and quality management systems

  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
