An established tile and building materials group is expanding into East and West Africa – and we are still searching for the right leader to launch our flagship store in Accra, Ghana.

What you'll own? Store Operations & Commercial Performance

• Run all day-to-day operations for retail + wholesale channels

• Drive sales through smart product presentation, customer engagement, and commercial strategy

• Build real relationships with contractors, developers, architects, and bulk buyers

• Hit revenue, margin, and stock turn targets

• Implement pricing and promotional activity that actually works

• Keep tight financial controls – cash handling, banking, reporting

Brand Launch & Market Growth

• Lead the brand's entry into a new country and position it as the trusted supplier of tiles and building materials

• Develop local marketing initiatives and partnerships that drive real traction

• Spot and seize opportunities in residential, commercial, and project markets

• Grow market share and customer base month by month

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and manage your startup team (sales, warehouse, admin)

• Build a performance-driven culture that matches international retail standards

• Coach your people on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer excellence

• Own KPIs, schedules, and performance reviews

Stock, Supply Chain & Merchandising

• Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, and replenishment

• Maintain showroom standards that impress both retail and trade clients

• Ensure product availability meets customer demand

• Minimise shrinkage, damages, and stock variances

? Customer Experience

• Deliver a premium journey for walk-in retail clients AND wholesale accounts

• Handle escalated queries and resolve complaints professionally

• Build long-term loyalty through service excellence

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure full compliance with company policies, local labour laws, and safety regulations

• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and operational updates for head office

• Report directly to the client – with a clear pathway to Regional Head

What you need to bring

?? Bachelor's Degree (Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Marketing or related) – preferred
?? 8+ years in retail or wholesale (tiles, building materials, or home improvement strongly preferred)
?? Proven Store Management experience in a tile or building material store – non-negotiable
?? Strong commercial acumen + hands-on operational leadership
?? Experience launching or growing new stores / business units – highly advantageous
?? Confident managing both retail customers AND trade/wholesale clients
?? Willing to relocate to Ghana (company covers visas, relocation, and accommodation support)
